You play as an author who has grown to hate their old noir works. Now they have gone into their work in order to personally eliminate the characters they made.
My role for this project was being the programmer

Cut out Shader
This jam revolved a lot around being astmospheric and would give me the chance to work on my tech art abilities. In the example on the right is more implementation of the cutout shader which would only display objects that are near and cut parts of them out that were out of range. I wanted to create a feeling like the game was taking place in comic panel.
Light VFX
Since lighting was very important for our project we also wanted lightbeams to be visible to the player. Obviously we did not want to use volumetric lighting for this so instead I created a shader that works with a cone that makes it appear like we can see light beams coming from light sources.
Dialogue
For this jam game I also created a simple dialogue manager that would end with a characters destruction event.
